Buffers acid.

Hard, repeated efforts flood muscle cells with acid, which brings fatigue on sooner. Carnosine is one of the muscle’s own buffers and helps hold pH steady.

I wanted something athletes could use every day. Without checking the rulebook.

It began with curiosity. My co-founders, Jaanus and Aare-Laidar, and I wanted to understand what truly helps muscle and soft tissue recover, and the research kept leading us to carnosine. With pharmacologists at the University of Tartu, we made a first batch for our own use. Then people started asking where they could buy it.

Nothing in Carnosport is on the WADA Prohibited List. The full ingredient list is on this page and on every label, so athletes and their support staff can check it themselves.

Yes. A triple-blind, placebo-controlled study of Carnosport has been carried out, and we’ll share the results as soon as the paper is published. The published research on carnosine and on topical carnosine is on our science page.

What is the regulatory status? Do I need to register it?

Carnosport is a cosmetic product, notified in the EU with a CPSR and Responsible Person on file. It’s made in Denmark under ISO 22716 cosmetic GMP, and every batch is double tested by a third party. We supply the certificate of analysis, CPSR, dermatological test report and product liability confirmation for your market, and we’ll help with any market-specific paperwork.

Is it a pain-relief product?

No. There’s no menthol, no heat and nothing numbing in it. Athletes use it before and after training so they’re ready for the next session. That’s why it sits next to the cooling and heat rubs your accounts already stock rather than competing with them.

Which channels does it sell through?

Sports retail, physiotherapists and osteopaths, clinics and pharmacies. For clinics and practitioners we run a sampling programme and supply education material for your sales team.

Can I get exclusivity for my territory?

Territory is agreed per market. Tell us which countries you cover in the form and we’ll talk it through on the call.

Where do you ship from, and what are delivery and payment terms?

We hold stock in Estonia for Europe and in Chicago for North America. Delivery times and payment terms depend on your region, so we confirm both on the call together with your trade prices.

Do you take back unsold stock?

No. That’s why first orders start small, 12 bottles for resellers and 96 for wholesalers, so you can see how your market responds before you scale. Carnosport has a 24-month shelf life, so stock doesn’t expire while it sells, and 3 in 4 customers come back every month. If you’d like to see the product first, ask for samples in the form.
